Meet the Doctor

Introducing South Pasadena Chiropractor, Dr. Marina Banik

“I admit, I was a skeptic,” remembers Dr. Marina Banik. “But my friend, Lisa, kept praising this chiropractor she went to, who took away her constant headaches that she had for years. I was reluctant, but her story and my curiosity made me do some research on what is chiropractic and after reading about it, it just made sense…  It made so much sense that I ended up becoming a chiropractor myself!”

“The reason chiropractic seemed so amazing to me was because it is the only profession that deals with health in the most natural and noninvasive way.  It simply allows the body to function to its optimal potential, the way it was designed to.”

Dr. Banik began her pre-chiropractic education at Long Island University, where she studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing her study there, she was accepted at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, California. During her four years at CCC, courses included biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology, neurology, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the CCC Public Clinic. After graduating in 2003, Dr. Banik started working in the city of San Fernando, California and after three years, she established her practice in the city of South Pasadena, California.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Banik. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I got adjusted for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance and answer all the questions. Patients appreciate that.”

“I put 100% of myself into my patients when I’m in the office.  So, when I have free time, I need to recharge completely, and for me its through dancing.  I also love to spend time with family and friends, and being that my whole family lives in NY, I go there every chance I get.” says Dr. Banik.

“Of course I get adjusted regularly, once a month, which is what we call “wellness care”.  I am blessed to have my best friend, Dr. Maggy, who knows exactly how to handle my subluxations.”

“Enough about me!  How can I help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care?  I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges.  Give us a call or e-mail me at the link below, so we can help you take your first step towards better health!”
